Here's a brief excerpt from this episode.

Most guests on the Nest of Vipers are part of the art world and are enamored with alternative culture. These sub-cultural types often have defining moments early in life when they realize they’re different from everybody else or are concerned with different things than their friends. Our team of “fundits” exhume the elementary and high school years to talk about these formative moments. Hosted by filmmaker Danny Plotnick.

Our guests include:

Bucky Sinister is the author of three acclaimed books of poetry—King of the Roadkills, Whiskey and Robots, and the brand new All Blacked Out & Nowhere To Go. Bucky honed his writing skills and performing chops as emcee of the outrageous poetry brawl scene at the Chameleon in San Francisco’s Mission District during the mid 90’s. His poems have been included in The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry, and King of the Roadkills inspired a short-lived clothing collection in Australia. He recently completed watching 500 movies on DVD this past year as part of the Q500 Experiment.

Kurt Keppeler writes music and plays bass with the goth-psych band Fierce Antler. Previous musical forays included the dark-wave band Condor. He is also an accomplished film and video director. His experimental films include Metalman, The Leash Men and Fisherman. He has directed live concert DVDs for Los Lobos, Ozomatli, Bow Wow, Gold Chains and Nellie McKay, among others.

Alison Faith Levy is a musician currently playing in kid-rock favorites The Sippy Cups. She also sings for the experimental group Mushroom who have a brand new record out fronted by Levy called Yesterday I Saw You Kissing Tiny Flowers. She recently has been performing live with Victor Krummenacher.
